  2. On a snowy December nightCountJohnSigmundCottenarrived in thetownof Banská Štiavnica (Selmecbánya). He was carrying big bags, but didn’t tell anyone what was in them.

  3. Onedayhewent to thewatchmaker, whowasliving in thetoweroftheCastle. Hewas a veryclever man.

  4. Hetoldthewatchmakerthathe had received a secretcommandfromthe lord to helphimmakemoneybecausethey had to spend a lot on thearmy. Ofcourse, itwasnottrue.

  5. Thecountaskedthewatchmaker to helphim. Thewatchmakeragreed. Theyworkedtogetherforweeks and months.

  6. Thecoinslooked so realthatnobodycouldtelliftheywerefake or not. Althoughaftersometimetheyrealizedthatitwasagainstthelaw, theydidn’tcarebecausethey had becomeveryrich.

  7. However, theygotcaughtbecausemintingcoinswasn’tquietwork. After a fewunpleasantdays in courttheycouldfeelsafe...

  8. Thecountknewthe lord. Thus, the lord didn’thavethemkilled. He just deportedthem to Poland.

  9. Thewatchmaker and hiswifecriedwhentheywereleavingthetown, butthecount just disappearedquickly in thedistance to lookforwardto new adventures.
