    6. 6 MOH Function : Main health care provider Responsible for general strategic planning and insurance of accurate and proper implementation and provision of health care services in the kingdom

    7. 7 FUNDING Saudi government is highly committed for supporting and maintaining adequate health care for all citizens , the annual budget for MOH reached 6.5 % of total annual government budget in last years Private sectors also participate in funding health services

    8. 8 SUCCESS Control of many communicable diseases such as malaria , poliomyelitis , leishmaniasis… Implementation of efficient primary health care services, reaching high immunizations coverage rate for childhood communicable diseases (range 92%-94% )…. Number of hospitals reached 325 Rate of health centers/10000 1.15 Rate of hospital beds /10000population reached 23 Rate of physicians /10000 16.4 Rate of nurses /10000 33.7 Crude death rate /1000 3 Provision of adequate health care services for pilgrim each year during hajj season

    9. 9 National AIDS Control Program Established in 1986 in response to the emergence of HIV global epidemic

    10. 10 Program structure AIDS control program is one of the DGP&IDC departments ( figure 2)

    12. 12 Program function AIDS control program is responsible for defining and implementation of strategies for preventive and treatment of HIV/AIDS/STDs activities in KSA , it is supported by different committees of experts in related aspects , these program activities are integrated in existing national health system .
