  21. BLUE TEAM SCHEDULE • Periods 1 – 4 : Core Classes • Lunch: 11:27 – 11:57 • Period 5: Core Class • Period 6: Health/PE • Period 7: Expressive Arts • Period 8: Homeroom

  22. PARENT COMMUNICATION • The Seventh Grade counselor is Mr. Peck. • Blue Team is available for parent conferences during period 7 (1:33 – 2:18). • Parents are reminded to check the Parent Portal often. • The most efficient method of communication with team teachers is email.

  24. “D” DAY PROCEDURES • “D” Day is dedicated to silent work and/or reading. • Students must have free reading books in HR! • Some “D” Days will also be used for “Character Counts” Lessons.

  27. DON’T CHEW GUM- you will get caught and they will catch you- especially Ms. Prendergast! Make friends and get a good reputation. Participate in class because you get points each marking period! Ask questions if you need help! Study more than you normally do, because you’ll need it! This ISN’T sixth grade anymore!! 7th Grade ALUMNI TIPS

  28. 7th Grade ALUMNI TIPS • Remember to follow directions on all tests and projects! • Be organized because there are always notebook checks! • The harder you try, the more respect you get from the teachers. • Don’t get on the teachers’ bad sides! • Always have your pass. • Be nice to substitutes.

  29. 7th Grade ALUMNI TIPS • Shoving papers into your binder is a REALLY BAD idea. • Keep all of your old papers- you will have finals! • In 6th grade you might not have studied, but this year you have too! • DO ALL OF YOUR WORK . . . YOU’LL BE FINE! • Don’t eat candy without asking. • Do not plagiarize- you will get a 0! • Keep a positive attitude!

  30. 7th Grade ALUMNI TIPS • Be nice to your teachers and pay them respect. • Keep or find a sense of humor- you’ll need it! • Make friends you can depend on. • Proofread your work before you hand it in. • Never wait until the last minute; it’s very stressful that way. • With these teachers backing you up, you’ll never have to worry.

  31. WARNING !!!! • Summer reading books should be nearly finished or finished at this time. • All AR tests need to be done by September 16th!!!!!

  32. ANNOUNCEMENTS • Emergency cards and the signed handbook page is due by Friday, September 9th. • Picture Day is Friday, September 9th.
