What is a young professional? • How old are they? • How young are they? • Do they need a college degree? • What careers do you want to represent? • How long will they last in your group? • How do you go after for young professionals? • What is success?
The Answers??? • YPs are ages 22 to 39 traditionally, but that doesn’t have to be set in stone. • No, but the vast majority will have one. • Diversity of careers is a must. • Two to three years is the norm. • Target their needs and career goals • Let’s talk more about success.
What we did with PULSE!
The PULSE Successes • More than 900 members each of the past two years. • Eight different program to choose. • About 40 events each year. • Creating leaders: City Council, key commissions and boards, numerous award winners. • Opportunity to grow.
