  12. 2015 Dietary Guidelines • Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee: • DGAC is charged with evaluating scientific evidence on nutrition and prepare an Advisory Report that informs the government on ways to improve the overall health of the American public through proper nutrition • ENC participated in the nomination process submitting the names of 7 highly respected researchers • Members were announced on May 31

Newest ENC Team Member • Welcome Tia Rains, PhD • Former Director, Medical Writing and Principal Scientist at Provident Clinical Research (subsidiary of Biofortis North America, Inc.) • Prior to joining Provident, Dr. Rains spent nine years at Kraft Foods in various positions within the Research and Development organization • Dr. Rains earned a Ph.D. from University of Illinois in Nutritional Sciences
