Bottlenose Dolphins • Bottlenose Dolphins are the most common type of dolphin in captivity. • This dolphin has dark gray near its dorsal fin, light gray on its sides, and is almost white on its belly. Click on the little blue dolphin in the corner to find out how long a bottlenose dolphin can hold its breath!

  5. Bottlenose Dolphins Continued • Bottlenose dolphins nurse their calves with milk from mammary glands of the mothers. • Bottlenose Dolphins can stay under water for up to 20 minutes!

  6. Hector’s Dolphin • Hector’s dolphins are the smallest marine dolphin. • They are found only in New Zealand.
