Honduran Health Alliance

The Honduran Health Alliance (HHA) provides vital cervical cancer prevention through education, annual exams, and follow-up care. From June 26 to July 21, 2011, participants will engage in well woman physicals, STI testing, birth control counseling, and seminars on essential health topics. This program aims to empower women in Honduras, ensuring they receive necessary treatments and education. Participants will gain clinical experience, mentorship, and improve their Spanish skills while making a meaningful impact in the community. Join us in this rewarding journey!

What We Do Activities Patient Outcomes • Well woman annual physicals and pelvic exams • STI testing • Birth control counseling • Seminars on STIs, Family Planning, Domestic Violence, Nutrition, and Cervical Cancer • History of seven successful trips • Women with positive pap smears receive free follow up at a local clinic • Women with STIs and their partners receive treatment • Women receive birth control • Women are empowered to make decisions about their reproductive health
