  1.     Good Morning! We have reached our goal for Dime for Charity and we will be sending a check to the Alzheimer’s Association. I am so proud of you. Please finish your DLR workbook pages from last week. When you are finished, please read or free write quietly at your desk. Remember to keep an eye on Bucket Fillers in the class.

  2. Good Morning, Mathematicians. Today we are going to create a line plot with pockets. Sounds interesting and weird? Place a Post it on our line graph to show how many pockets you have. You can count your jacket or sweatshirt if you brought one in.

  3. First, write your name on the Storyworks magazine. Next, complete the first two sections on the What Do You Know organizers. Then read the story, Out of the Tornado, which is in the Storyworks magazine on your desk. After you read the story, finished the last two sections. You must hand in the Storyworks magazine when you have finished.

  4. Read the Poem, Scribble Me a Fine Thing in your Storyworks magazine(last page). In “Scribble Me a Fine Thing,” poet Rebecca Kai Dotlich imagines she has a twig and can draw fine things into her world. Use the activity below to write a poem about the wonderful things you would draw into your world to create a perfect day.Copy your poem onto a paper and illustrate it.
