Order of Operations • The order in which you work a problem can…. • Get you a CORRECT ANSWER  OR • Get you an INCORRECT ANSWER 

P-E-(M-D) - (A-S) or P-E-(D-M)-(S-A) • P or () • Should be completed FIRST!

P-E-(M-D) - (A-S) or P-E-(D-M)-(S-A) • E – Exponents • Should be completed Second!!!

P-E-(M-D) - (A-S) or P-E-(D-M)-(S-A) • (M-D) – Multi-vision – is completed left to right – NOT multiplication then division! • (D-M) – Divis-ication– is completed left to right – NOT multiplication then division! • Division and Subtraction MAY be completed first if they are to the LEFT of their partner operations!

P-E-(M-D) - (A-S) or P-E-(D-M)-(S-A) • (A-S) – Add-traction – is completed left to right – NOT addition then subtraction • (S-A) – Sub-dittion– is completed left to right – NOT addition then subtraction • Division and Subtraction MAY be completed first if they are to the LEFT of their partner operations!
