  7. “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.” Genesis 3:6

  10. The Problem

  11. “But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.” James 1:14-15

  12. “Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.” 1 John 3:4

  13. “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” James 4:17

  14. “But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.” Romans 14:23

  17. Separation

  18. “Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot heal but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.” Isaiah 59:1-2

  22. God’s Justice

  26. God Provides a Solution

  27. “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

  28. “This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 2:3-5

  29. “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

  30. The Solution

  31. Jesus Came

  32. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

  33. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

  34. “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4-5

  35. “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15

  36. “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14

  37. “She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us.” Matthew 1:21-23

  38. “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” Hebrews 4:15

Betrayal of a friend – Ps. 41:9; Mt. 10:4 • Sold for thirty pieces of silver – Zech. 11:12; Mt. 26:15 • Forsaken by his disciples – Zech. 13:7; Mk. 14:50 • Accused by false witnesses – Ps. 35:11; Mt. 26:59-60 • Silent before accusers – Is. 53:7; Mt. 27:12 • Wounded and bruised – Is. 53:5; Mt. 27:26 • Smitten and spat upon – Is. 50:6; Mt. 26:67 • Hands and feet pierced – Ps. 22:16; Lk. 23:33 • Suffered thirst – Ps. 69:21; Jn. 19:28 • His forsaken cry – Ps. 22:1; Mt. 27:26 • His side pierced – Zech. 12:10; Jn. 19:34 Prophesied

  41. “For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.” 1 Corinthians 5:7

  42. “And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Hebrews 10:10

  43. Jesus Buried

  44. Jesus Resurrected!

  45. “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” John 11:25

  46. “For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.” 1 Thessalonians 4:14

  47. “And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.” 1 Corinthians 6:14

  48. Jesus Ascended

  49. “And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9-11

  50. “Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25
