Where would you ask about…? In four groups – You will be given a set of FAQ’s asked at the Student Support Centres. In your group place the questions on the area of the University you would ask that question. Where can I find the General Enquiries Desk? Located at all Student Support Centres: Kedleston Road: Ground Floor – B Block Britannia Mill: Ground Floor – Room G02 Markeaton Street: First Floor – Room 113 Buxton: Clarendon House (SAS)
How can the Support and Advisory Service help me? • The Support and Advisory Service has advisors to help with: • Support Co-ordination • Note Takers • Sign Language Interpreters • Library Support • Educational Support • Mental Health
Disability Support • Dyslexia assessment • Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) • Assessment of study needs • Support Plans • As well as: • Mental Health co-ordination

What does the Student Records and Fees team do? • Student Records and Fees are based at the Kedleston Road Student Support Centre, and are available to help students with: • Enrolment • Tuition Fees (including LEA) • Accredited Prior Learning (APL) • Module/programme changes • Withdrawals and Intercalations (breaks from study) • Online Forms
Who are Assessment and Awards? • The Assessment and Awards team are also based at the Kedleston Road Student Support Centre, and are available to help students with: • Statement of Achievements • Transcripts • Exams • Results • Graduation
Who are the Programme Advisory Service (PAS)? • PAS are based at both the Kedleston Road Student Support Centre and room DO/109 in Buxton, and are available to help students with: • Understanding your credit accumulation • Module results • Planning your programme of study • Guidance on understanding your programmes structure • Programme change advice • Joint Honours and Open Credit Scheme counselling appointments • Information signpost

Ask Us is an online automated Q&A service for current students, providing generic information on the University Support Services mentioned in this session. • Unlike a search engine, Ask Us provides its answers in response to full questions, to save time and avoid confusing academic terminology. • Answers also include: • URL links • Email and contact details • Further information through dropdown boxes Ask Us is conveniently found at: www.derby.ac.uk/current-students
