DIRECT SCHOOL ADMISSION TO SECONDARY SCHOOL (DSA) • All Secondary Schools can admit students through DSA. • DSA- SEC admits students to a secondary school based on diverse range of talents and achievements that may not be demonstrated at PSLE. • Students apply for DSA- Sec based on their talent in Sports, CCAs and specific academic areas • (New) All students will no longer be required to take general academic ability tests for their DSA-Sec applications. SHOULD MY CHILD APPLY FOR DSA-SEC? • Has specific strengths and interests that he/she is passionate about and committed to developing • DSA-Sec can support his/her development • Once he/she has committed to the secondary school, he/she will not be able to seek a transfer to another school after the release of PSLE results • He/she will need to commit to the CCA/talent areas in the secondary school

HOW DOES MY CHILD APPLY FOR DSA-SEC FROM 2019 (NEW) • DSA- Sec application portal available in April 2019 (except for SOTA and SSP) • There is no application fee required. • Application window: 8 May – 4 June 2019 • Portal can be accessed using your SingPass • More information: https://beta.moe.gov.sg/dsa/

  10. WHAT WILL I NEED TO PROVIDE DURING THE APPLICATION • P5 and P6 academic results • CCA • School-based activities/achievements/awards • (NEW) Do not need to submit testimonials and hardcopy documents

  11. HOW DO SCHOOLS SELECT STUDENTS • Interviews • Test • Trials • Selection camp • To identify students with strengths or sound fundamentals and potential in particular talent areas
