Trenčín – my city

1. Trenčín – my city Trenčín is the city where I was born. I live here and I like it because it's small but beautiful town and my friends and family live here. I think that it's interesting too and there's a few nice places. On this picture is a castle - symbol of Trenčín.

4. History of Trenčín Trenčín was among the most important cities ofSlovakia.It was settled already in Stone Age. There settled Romanstoo. They inscribedinscription on rock of Trenčín´s castle and they called Trenčín – Laugaricio. Trenčín acquired lots of privileges and laws in Middle Ages. Here happened lots of calamities and wars - plague was spread here. On this illness died almost 1600 people. So here's monument - Plaguey column. In this town are lots of another historic relics and the most important is thecastle. (among-medzi, settled-osídlený, inscribe-vytesať, acquire-získať, law-právo, plague-mor)

It's 1833 castle- I think that it's years oldthe most important Hotel Tatra relic in Trenčín. 10. My school I visit the 4th. elementary school Veľkomoravská Trenčín.I learn here from first grade and I'm in 8.A class now. In this school are 574 pupils in 24 classrooms and 36 teachers (in my class=20 pupils). A School building is composed from an old building, a new building, and an educational pavilion. If you go on this school you can choose two from more circles–art and social, technical and natural science, sport.. etc. There are some competitions (=maths, geography, history, natural and sport too) and our school is the 2.nd best Trenčín´s elementary school in knowledge and interest-art competitions in school year 2007/2008.Our school has own school parliament where is one pupil from each class - the schoolmaster tells them changes and news in the school and they may propose other changes. Members of the parliament choose one of them to represent our school at the meeting of city parliament of schools. From our class I'm in school parliament. That school has its own school magazine and school participates certain projects such as Socrates, Green school, Special Olympics and others, too. school My
