Essential Syllabus and Class Guidelines for Success

Welcome back to class! This document outlines the important syllabus details you need for a successful year. Please ensure you have the required supplies: a 3 or 5-subject notebook (no binders), pencils, pens, highlighters, scissors, glue, and a 3-prong folder with pockets. Remember to uphold class procedures by being on time, respecting materials, and minimizing distractions. Check for assignments if you're absent. Plus, don’t forget to fill out the index card for parental contact information and any allergies. Let’s have a great year!

  2. Syllabus • MOST IMPORTANT THING ON • SYLLABUS: • http://dolph.educatorpages.com/ • Hold on to this! Do not lose it!

  3. supplies • 3 or 5 subject notebook. NO BINDERS!!! • Pencils/Pens/Highlighters/Scissors/Glue • 3 prong folder with pockets • CALCULATOR* • Donated supplies (paper towels, Clorox wipes, tissue) • $1 Class fee

  4. Class Procedures • Be on time • No cell phones unless using for an assignment (no headphones!) • Don’t ask to leave class while material is being presented • RESPECT • Materials by my desk • Recycling is for cardboard and paper • DON’T WRITE ON THE TABLES!! • Absent? • Check for work in the folders by the door

  5. Remind 101 • I will use this to send out texts. Please do not sign up unless you have your parents permission. • Look for your class code. You can use Remind by email or text. Text your class code to 81010. You can also sign up using the web address associated with your class. The website is https://www.remind.com/join/YOURCLASSCODE

  6. Lab Safety • Get signed and bring back ASAP!!!! • Be sure to let me know if you have allergies • Quiz Fri

  7. Parent Contact • On an index card, please print NEATLY the following: • Your name • Your parent’s names (or whoever you live with the majority of the time) • How I can contact your parents (email, phone, etc). Put as much as you can! Back of card • Your extracurricular activities • Favorite subject and why • Anything you want me to know!
