  3. Identify Job Scammers 1. Personal Contact Info Any recruiter would provide their official email id or contact number and not their unofficial or personal ones. And even if they are using an official emailad- dress like “xyz@abc.com” cross check with the company’s website contact details or contact the HR to verify. Beware! In the list of requirements you may see things like: • Candidate must be 18 and above. • Must have a passport. • 0-10 years of experience or no experience required. 0-10 Beware! Ask Questions Even if you reply, ask questions regarding: • Name of the person calling • If it’s a consultancy then: • The consultancy firm’s name • The platform from where they got your resume • The company and the employer • The location of the company • Official bank account details (if any payment is demanded) • Company website link: Verify the information via online search, or make calls to the HR of the company they named.
