  1. 4 Yoga Asanas for beginners and their benefits Yoga is an ancient science which has grown very popular in recent decades. It would not be an exaggeration if told that Yoga is a great way to channelize your mind, body and soul in the same direction. Yoga relaxes the mind and makes the body flexible. There are different kinds of Yogasanas or postures and in this article let us quickly understand the 4 Yogasanas for beginners and their benefits. Vrukshasana / Vrikshasana or the tree posture This is one of those basic Yoga postures which can be done by the beginners. This is a standing posture and should focus on breathing completely. This posture is known for improving balance and it also helps in strengthening the legs. This pose can also help you in improving your concentration skills greatly. Vrukshasana when performed daily can also reduce the risks of sciatica. It also helps in toning the muscles of the legs, thighs, arms and legs.

  2. Bhujangasana / Snake pose This is one of the most beneficial and the easiest of Yogasanas which can be practiced by beginners. You may have to lie down flat on your stomach and with both the hands completely relaxed. The next step is to place the palms at the level of your shoulder and with all the weight on the palms you have to raise the head and the trunk of the body looking upwards. Breathing has to be normal while you perform this posture. This posture is beneficial in curing issues related to digestive system, reproductive system and also urinary systems. It is also effective in treating backaches as it relaxes the spinal cord completely. If this posture is practiced regularly you need not worry about stress as it is a great stress reliever. Trikonasana – Triangle pose This is yet another Asana which a beginner can practice. This is a standing posture and when this pose is done regularly it can reduce Blood pressure to a great extent. It also tones the waist, abdomen and also reduces the belly fat. This pose is also known to strengthen the legs and thigh muscles.

  3. Utkatasana (Chair Pose) Chair pose is another exercise which can quickly help you in reducing the fat accumulated around the belly and waist. This posture when practiced regularly is known to make you look younger and it also strengthens the hip, legs and the thigh muscles. People with flat feet should definitely try this pose because it reduces the symptoms of flat feet drastically.
