  2. Protecting the rights of health professionals Australia’s health care system functions seamlessly because of the hard work of health care workers. The HSU or the Health Services Union strives hard to safeguard the rights of the health professionals and allied health workers.

  3. HSU does not merely cover health professionals or aged care workers. The membership extends to workers involved in the cleaning, food, security, administration, clerical, medical records, nuclear medicine, pharmacy and workers involved in other aspects of the medical world. HSU Members are entitled to Journey Insurance and Bereavement benefits. As part of the Journey Insurance, in case a member meets with an accident and gets injured on the way to or from work, he is entitled to a financial support of up to 85 % of his weekly pay or a maximum compensation of $1500 every week.

  4. In case of death of a Health Service Union member, the family is offered an immediate financial aid of $10,000. This comes as a great help at times of extreme grief. If you are a health care worker or involved in allied or aged care become a part of HSU today. For more details, please visit www.hsu.asn.au
