Main changes • Slimmer evaluation schedule • Updated criteria to evaluate schools • Increased focus on teaching, learning and assessment • More lesson observations often joint with senior leaders • Increased focus across the curriculum on Reading, writing , spelling and Mathematics www.marialandy.co.uk.   3. Main changes • Inspectors to hear pupils read in Primary Schools and focus on the teaching of reading and promoting communication in Special Schools • Slimmed down but beware 27 former judgements combined within this new evaluation schedule www.marialandy.co.uk. New Ofsted Jan 2012
