(Orange, White, or Blue) Contact Jenna to pay dues: jenna_andel@yahoo.com At LEAST 50 points scheduled in Fall semester.* Distinguished = 30 points Recognized = 20 points Active = 10 points • Meetings: 1 point • Donations: $1/1 point • Meeting with shirt: 2 points • Various Events: 2 points • Fundraising Event:3 points • Volunteer Event: 4 points You must be a recognized member to run for office! Point System The mission of the Pre-PA Society is to encourage, recognize and promote the personal and professional development of those students who have expressed an interest in becoming reputable health care providers. Furthermore, the organization will serve to promote awareness of the Physician Assistant (PA) profession as a viable career choice, to provide each member with a thorough understanding of the role of the PA profession, and to support each member through the PA application.

Positions Available for Spring 2013 What to do to become an officer… Become a Recognized Member (20 points) Pay Dues Donate Volunteer Attend Events, Fundraisers or Meetings Apply by Nov 29th 2012 Applications available through email or online! Turn in in-person or send to pasocietyutsa@gmail.com Someone that can devote time and effort while maintaining personal responsibilities. Keywords: Teamwork, Communication, Eagerness, Problem Solving, Member Oriented • Treasurer Keeps financial records for year, including fundraising, membership dues, donations, and monetary transactions. Organizes fundraisers. Keeps and organizes membership records, bank statements, and receipts. Is primary bank account holder. Other duties as required. • Public Relations Assist with making and maintaining banners and flyers for various events. Update websites with current and future events. Maintain email inbox and Facebook account. Other duties as required. • Historian Keeps record of yearly events. Documents with photography and log book. Other duties as required. Why become an Officer? Amplifies your PA applications with leadership qualities and teamwork abilities in action, while learning and helping others like yourself.

November 10th, 2012 8:00 – 3:00 PM • Haven for Hope 1 Haven for Hope Way November 24th, 2012 1:00 – 4:00 PM • Corazon Med Clinic 315 East Travis St. Basement of Travis Park United Methodist Church Every Sunday 7:45 - 11:00 AM 2 Members Only Indicate on the sign-up sheet if you will be carpooling or needing a ride, and meet at Convocation Center one hour prior to event.   7. End of the Year Social Kitchen Demonstration Creating a healthy meal on a budget. Short presentation, demonstration / meal preparation. Presentation & recipes to be available online. Mingle with your fellow members and meet your officers! Where: Rec Center When: Wednesday, NOV 28th @ 7 pm Volunteers needed for set-up & clean-up. Available for up to 25 students, with priority to paid members. Bring your friends! EAT for FREE! Eating Healthy On a Budget
