DUSD Program Support OSD MATERIEL READINESS COMMITTEE • Why we are establishing the Committee- • Nation is operating under a declaration of national emergency • Services and Combatant Command have requested a responsive and expedited process to deal with critical, time sensitive, and changing logistics issues requiring: • DOD policy change or waiver • Obtaining/utilizing Department or Executive emergency authorities • Special legislative authorities • Administration approval • Issues have been submitted • Voluntary • Does not replace normal staffing process for most actions
