President Richard Nixon • President Nixon was born January 9, 1913 in Yorba Linda, California. • He grew up in poverty helping out in his fathers grocery store he was raised a Quaker. he also had two brothers that both died from a horrifiric disease called tuberculosis • He went to local public schools, and was the first to graduate high school in his class in 1930. He attended Whittier College from 1930- 1934 and graduated with a history degree. He then attended Duke University Law School And graduated in 1937. • Nixon began practicing in the year of 1937. and tried to start his own law business which horribly failed. Afterwards he joined the navy and served in world war 2, during his service he rose and became a Lieutenant commander and resigned March. In the year of 1946 he was elected U.S representative. Then in the year of 1950 he became senator. He served the to a capacity until being elected vice president under Eisenhower. In 1953. After Eisenhower's term he Ran for Presidency in 1960 but lost the election to Kennedy., not only losing the election but also losing Governor ship of California in 1962. In 1968, Richard Nixon became the Republican candidate for President with Spiro Agnew as his Vice President. He defeated Democrat Hubert Humphrey and American Independent George Wallace. Nixon received 43% of the popular vote and 301 electoral votes. In 1972, he was the obvious choice for denomination with Agnew as his running mate again. He was opposed by Democrat George McGovern. He won with 61% of the vote and 520 electoral votes.

This show was one of the most popular shows in our time that started an African American family .This Bill cosby pecial contained such an enormous amount of comedy that it won four Emmy awards in the years of 1966-1968. But like everything all good things must come to an end the Shows last air was March 4th, 1992, but even thought the show stopped the laughs didn’t the show is still one of the top most watched shows in America then and now.

  6. Mark Spitz • Mark Spitz Was born February 10th 1950 in California to Lenore And Arnold in Modesto, California. Mark was the oldest of three children. His parents introduced him to swimming as soon as he could walk helping him to embrace his talent. When Mark turned two his father a steel company executive , was transferred to Honolulu, Hawaii Mark swam at Waikiki Beach every day. “you should have seen the boy dash into the ocean . He’d run like he was trying to commit suicide” Lenore Spitz told Time magazine (April 12, 1968. After a few years The family moved back to California . Spitz father was always teaching him the importance of being first . At age fifteen At the Maccabeus Games in tell Aviv in August1965 , Mark won four gold metals and was named the most outstanding athlete. This was the beginning of his long list of victories. By the spring of 1927 Spitz had already set 23 world swimming records and 35 United States Records. He won two gold medals , one silver and one bronze in the 1968 Olympics. Many expected him to do better, but a bad cold had prevented him from doing so. After the ‘ 72 Olympics, Spitz made movies and commercials and went into business. He now lives in California with his wife Suzy and his son.
