  2. 10- $500 scholarships to deserving senior athletes. To apply for this scholarship, athletes are asked to submit a cover letter, résumé and the Scholarship Applicant form that confirms their GPA and HHSABC membership, and lists their references. Our scholarship applicants should reflect a well-rounded student athlete whose contributions to HHS have made a real difference. The scholarship committee will use the following criteria to make their selection. In your résumé and cover letter, please highlight the following areas: Varsity Letter(s) School Awards Demonstrates Good Sportsmanship GPA of 2.5 or above Good Citizen in Community Demonstrates Leadership both in Sport and in School Furthering Education Current HHSABC Member Why this scholarship is important to you All nominees will be asked to submit all parts of the application to Mr. Petrella. These applications will then be forwarded to the HHSABC committee for review and selection. Announcement of the scholarship winners will take place at the Heritage Athletic Booster Club Tailgate Party. HERITAGE BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

  3. Attention Seniors planning to attend community college for 2009-2010! Six-$1,100 scholarships will be awarded for the 2009-2010 school year. There will be one recipient for each campus. This scholarship is intended for students attending college for the first time at a Virginia Community College. Merit-based scholarship. The Wade and Natalya Tetsuka Leadership in Philanthropy Scholarship(Posted 4/22/09) 1 @ $1000 Deadline: May 1, 2009 Applicant must be a graduating Loudoun County Public Schools high school senior attending a 4-year College or University in Fall 2009 who has demonstrated Leadership in Philanthropy. Scholarship Opportunity • Virginia Smiles will award a $1,000 scholarship to a student who meets the following criteria: • The student must be a resident of Virginia and born with a cleft; • The student must be registered to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution; • The student must submit a completed application form. To print the application form, CLICK HERE. • The student must submit a 500 word essay explaining why he/she deserves to be awarded the scholarship. • The student must attend the Virginia Smiles Annual Family Picnic to receive the award, prepare a short acceptance speech, and talk with other families of children born with a cleft. • The deadline for submission is May 31.

  9. Scholarship for JUNIORS • In order to be considered for a scholarship, students must: • Maintain a strong G.P.A. (Minimum 2.7, unweighted) • Have made a substantial contribution to his or her community • Be involved in school activities • Demonstrate a financial need and • Be a junior in high school to apply • Deadline: June 1stClick here for application
