Trends in healthcare? • ASU and Wake Forest School of Medicine have collaborated to bring a new course to students interested in the Physician Assistant Profession • Supported in part by DHHS, Health Resources and Services Administration Grant # D57HP03190 • Course Overview • Strengths and challenges of delivering healthcare to rural North Carolina • Understanding the patient's perspective on the local/regional health care system • Introduction to Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) • Weekly discussions and activities on ASULearn ES 3600: Team-Based Patient Care Second Summer: July 3 – August 6, 2014 Priority Application Deadline Friday, March 7 3 face-to-face meetings with ASU and Wake Forest Faculty on Sundays 7/13, 7/20, and 8/3. Interdisciplinary, case-based approach 1(one) semester hour course: ASU tuition rates apply Stipends are available for eligible students Interact with current Wake Forest PA students
