  2. Setting The setting of the story is at Barry’s house, Leigh’s house, by the pond, and lastly at school.

  3. PLOT THE PLOT OF THE STORY IS BARRY AND LEIGH TRYING TO FIND A DOG THAT CAN REPLACE STRIDER. THEY FOUND A DOG AND NAMED IT STRIDER

  4. Character Development One of the main character’s is Leigh. Leigh is one of the people who found Strider. Leigh plays an important part in Strider. The other person who found Strider was Barry. Barry is Leigh’ best friend. The last thing is Strider. Leigh and Barry found Strider by the lake. They took him home because he had no collar and no owner.

  5. POINT OF VIEW IT IS IN 1ST PERSON POINT OF VIEW. BECAUSE IT SAID “I” in the story.   

Antique : of times long ago Student : old toys or books. Mom wants me to stay away from the antique shop, thrift shop. Salivate : liqiud produced by glands in the mouth to keep it moist help cheweing and digetion. Student : to make your mouth moist. That’s a word I never have used before. Shakspeare : poet, writer ,actor. Student : wordsw that ryme with meaning. A fence ,a fence , mykingdomforb a fence as shakespeare would say. Oxalis : wood sorrel common wood oxalis is a plant from the genious oxalis. Student :a yellow plant. Oxalis has such prety yellow flowers.

I was a new kid in school moping around trying to act inconspicuous Victorian : Victorian or victorians may refer to the 19th century. To win or give a herculean effort. Kevin lives in one of those big victorian houses. Rearrange : move something in a more acceptable position. Student : to move something. Mom had rearranged the schedule at the hospital so she could come to the meet. Thermos : a vacuum bottle to keep beverages warm. Student : to keep food or drinks warm. All of them bundled up like we were suspecting a blizzard.

  10. Divorce facts Most people marry again after three years of divorce. Married couples whom lived together before marriage have a higher chance of divorce. The divorce rate is expressed in the number of divorce per 1000 persons. Parents share custody. This is called joint or custody. For teens a divorce can be a very stressful due to changes in their daily life.
