Facebook Project – Fashion Designer • You can complete one or more of the following pages on a historical figure. • Insert the historical figures picture and name on each page you select to complete. • INFO - Fill out as if you were that historical person. • FRIENDS – Type in the name of the people who would have been involved with the historical figure. Put a picture or symbols for each friend. This could include people who were not their friends. • WALL - This should be a time line of some important event. Pick one or more of the historical figures friend to set the time. It can be in years. Great place to use people who did not agree with them. • PHOTOS –Use different pictures that illustrates aspects of their lives – family, important sites, etc. • NOTES – Copy of a speech or short explanation of something that was important in their lives. Facebook can help you connect and share history of people’s lives. All about Me Museum: This could be use by students to document their lives and likes. SPECIAL NOTE: All pictures and facts must be end noted.

  6. > Notes Title Brief Biography Date: July 12th, 2012 1964 - Christian Louboutin is born and brought up in Paris’s 12th arrondissement. 1975 – On the wall of the African and Oceanic art Museum, Louboutin is struck by a strange drawing: a woman’s shoe with a sharp heel, slashed-out with a red line. 1980-1986 – Louboutin’s first job is at the FoliesBergères, the famous French Music Hall. He follows this apprenticeship by freelancing for Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Maud Frizon and other prestigious fashion houses. 1989 – Louboutin turns to garden design. 1992 – Creation of the Christian Louboutin brand, and opening of the first boutique in Paris. 1994 – Opening of the first New York City boutique. 1995 – For Jean-Paul Gaultier, Chloé, Azzaro, Diane Von Furstenberg, Victor & Rolf, Givenchy and Lanvin, Louboutin starts to contribute for couture and ready-to-wear seasons. 1996 – Louboutin receives a FFANY Award from the International Fashion Group. 2002 – At Yves Saint Laurent’s farewell haute-couture show, Louboutin creates a shoe for the finale. Referred to as « Christian Louboutin for Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture 1962-2002», it marks the only time that Saint Laurent associates his name with another designer. 2007 – Louboutin collaborates with director David Lynch on the exhibition « Fetish », which shows sexy one-off objects: fetishist shoes, photographed by Lynch. 2008 – New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology pays a tribute to Louboutin, mounting an important retrospective of his work. Later that year, Louboutin is the Star Honoree of the Fashion Group International as well as receiving a second FFANY Award.
