New Staff & New Positions • Mrs. Bell-New School Leader • Leading the school during its Reform Redesign Plan with MDE • Ms. Daniels • Familiar Face from 6th grade • New Instructional Coach- leading teacher in more engaging instruction. • Mrs. Rice • Literacy Coach/RtI Coordinator • Building literacy among the middle school students & 9th graders • Mr. Powell-New Behavior Counselor • Will assist with providing interventions to minimize the number of suspensions • Licensed counselor to develop student behavioral plans

Overview of New School Plans • Extended Day • 8:00am-3:58pm • Friday Early Dismissals at 2:16pm for additional Professional Development for Staff. • We are a Priority School. • Purpose: To provide additional instructional time for academic improvements • New Procedures • Cell phone Drop-off • To prevent disruption and infractions. • Uniform Policy • 3 shirt selections (Navy, Gray & White) • No Cargo pants • Pledge of Allegiance • New state law grades K-12 • After School Program • 4:00pm-6:00pm • Robotics/Game Design • ELA/Math Tutoring • Writing Enrichment • Book Club • Young Ladies on a Mission • Music Appreciation • Art Enrichment • Mad Science • Dance Club • Student Advisory Committee • Discuss & Participate in school changes “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” -Tony Robbins
