How To Resolve QuickBooks Error Code -6106, -193 If you are experiencing the following error while using your QuickBooks desktop application, then you need to follow the following steps to get rid of the error code and fix the particular issue. Look for the winver.exe file in your hard drive. The file winver.exe is usually found in the C: \ Windows \ System32 folder. If you have problems locating the file, you will have to contact your IT man. Right click on the Winver.exe file, and choose Properties. Open the Details tab, click on the language and select English (United States) as the preferred language.
