  5. Tottered • Walked or moved with unsteady steps. • The new baby tottered • across the floor unsteadily. • The soccer player tottered • after kicking the ball.

  6. Awkward • Without grace in movement or behavior. • Ballet dancers are graceful, not awkward. • Pulling a small shirt over your head is sometimes awkward.

  7. Proclaimed • Announced publicly. • Ms. Martinez proclaimed to the class that Sadie Pup was the best dog ever.
