  2. Objectives: Familiarity with Medline: What it does How to use it to meet some of your research needs during your nursing studies. However…it won’t be able to assist you in hurdling all your research obstacles….

Medline (medical literature analyses retrieval system online) • 19 million records. • 1947-present (some older records). • 5200 journal titles. • Currently indexing in 37 languages, 60 for older • 2k-4k indexes added everyday. • Subjects: biomedicine, health roughly encompassing life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, bioengineering needed by health professionals.

  6. Why Medline? • Casting a larger net into sea of information. • Results not dependant on what parent institution you’re searching from.
