This work presents a framework for Spontaneous Social Networks (SSNs), enabling flexible and easy manipulation of social relationships in an adaptable format. Noteworthy applications include event scheduling akin to Doodle, and a YouTube shoutwall for multimedia interactions. The implementation utilizes XMPP and PubSub protocols to facilitate real-time communication while ensuring usability measures are met. The SSN lifecycle, including discovery and sharing mechanisms, is thoroughly evaluated, revealing that SSNs belong to the ranks of superior products in social networking solutions.
