The Enhancing our Heritage Project • Use the WCPA Framework to develop a consistent, but flexible, approach to assessment, monitoring and reporting on the state of conservation and management effectiveness of World Heritage sites that could be applied to World Heritage sites on an on-going basis

Adaptable system • Not one assessment systems, but a series of tools that provide a sound base for adaptive management through the assessment of management effectiveness • Integrate with existing systems • Linked to management processes • Different levels of participation • Different frequencies, i.e. annual assessment of inputs, 5 years assessment of outcomes

  11. Periodic Reporting and EoH • Both being launched at next WH Committee meeting in July • Applicability to cultural as well as natural sites
