Gather information on PDA’s • EHC live on the new Exchange 2007 system. • Healthcare senior leaders • mailboxes migrated • All other EHC mailboxes migrated • Archives Migrated Senior Leader Migration Clinical Faculty Migration 25 days 14 Days Milestone Consecutive timeline Preparation time • At the switch from GroupWise to Exchange/Outlook all contacts and all current calendar items will be in Outlook and all new mail will come into and be sent out of Outlook. • 90% of the items from GroupWise inbox, sent items and cabinet folders will be in Outlook by day 3 for clinical faculty and D2P2. • GroupWise WebAccess can be used to look at old inbox and cabinet folders to see any messages that have not yet migrated (but not archives). • GroupWise archives will be migrated last - after all accounts have been migrated. • Note – senior leader migration is defined as accounts in post office D2P2.

Technical Information for Archiving
Exchange Email Archival Overview • Provides Exchange archiving / tiered storage • Quota based archiving – 300 mg • Attachment based archiving • Stub attachments and messages • Stub management policy will be utilized • Quick retrieval of full message and attachments • Stores stub in plain text for minimal footprint • End user restorability of deleted messages • No storage limits for archived messages (300MB active mailbox limit) • Seamless recovery of archived messages
Exchange Email Archival Overview (cont’d) • Search ability • Future Compliance searching • Currently allows end user search ability to own archive • Retention policies • Can be used to manage compliance minimums (may eventually come for HIPAA or Sarbanes Oxley) • Can expire messages after maximum retention periods
