  3. George Washington Research • Directions for Completing “The New Washington Monument” assignment • 1. This is to be done individually on the drawing paper you get from the front of the room. • Think about all that you’ve learned about George Washington. It is your job to design a new and different memorial that tells more of Washington’s accomplishments. • Your monument can take whatever shape or form you want (tower, building, statue, wall, garden) but it must include the following: • Something representing Washington’s character • Something representing Washington’s service during the war. • Something representing Washington’s goals for the well-being of the country • Something representing the Farewell address • Something representing a problem and solution faced during Washington’s time in office (check your RWSQ) • Something representing a precedent set by Washington. • 4. Your monument should be neatly presented on the paper. Use color and labels to make your meanings clear. Include a short paragraph describing your monument and explaining why you made it the way that you did. #9 Farewell Address: Political Parties #10 The Apotheosis of Washington

  4. George Washington Report Card For each of the criteria, assign George Washington a grade. A = Excellent B = Good C = Average D= Poor F = Failure You will have to make up a criteria on which to judge him as well. You should explain each grade you give him. A bonus of 10 points will be given if you find a way to give him each letter grade at least once.
