Greetings • We here at East Union appreciate the opportunity to host the 2013 tourn. We’re excited about the renovations made to our facilities and are hope you enjoy your tournament experience with us.
logistics • We’re faced with a few challenges in hosting the event. Parking and seating space. While our bleachers are new we’re limited on space. For everyone’s enjoyment and convenience we’ll have the game broadcast on closed circuit in the gym lobby and in the concession area in the cafeteria. The café will have the game on large screen via LCD.
Merchandise • Tournament shirts will be sold in the café and in the gym lobby for $8.00. We have fifty shirts and hope they’ll move fast.
Parking • Parking is our biggest concern. We’ll have three lots on our campus with two additional lots for overflow. Lot A is the lot at the main entrance to our school. We’ll try to fill this lot first. (All lots will be labeled) Lot B is the lot closest to the gym where our busses usually park. This lot is assessable only by Hambrick Street. We’ll try to fill it second. Busses won’t be parked there during tournament. Overflow lot at the Massonic Lodge. This lot is assessable only by Hambrick Street. We’ll try to fill this lot next. Overflow lot at Byrum heating and Air located across HambrickStreet. This lot will not be a parking option until after 5:30 PM each day. The owners have been kind enough to allow us to us their facility after their business hours. Lot C is located on the opposite side (West end) of school campus. We’ll use this lot after lot A, B, and Masonic Lodge lot is full. People who park here will be directed via signs and parking staff where to enter the building and enter gymnasium.
Arrival procedures • Activity busses will enter the campus at lot B and they’ll be directed to park on activity fields behind gymnasium. Should your team have the first game please be advised your bus would need to enter our parking area no later than 3:00pm as our school busses will be flowing in at about 3:05pm. After this time until dismissal is over your bus wouldn’t be able to enter parking lot until approximately 3:30pm. Each team would have to decide if this would leave them enough warm-up/dress time as we’ll strictly enforce our 4:15pm starting time.
Exiting facility • When Exiting the campus on activity busses we strongly urge bus drivers to turn right onto Hambrick Street leaving Lot B. Follow this road approximately .5 miles turn right onto Old Hwy 74 and follow until second intersection (crossroads) approximately 1.5 miles turn right onto Forest Hills School Road. This road takes you out to the light at Hwy 74 and you’ll be able to cross safely rather than negotiate four lanes of traffic without a light.
Communication • Please communicate with your parents our parking set up. We’re going to do everything possible to make this a pleasant experience for everyone.
Dressing facilities • Dressing facilities: First and third game teams will use dressing rooms 3 and 4 located at the south end of the gym. Second and fourth game teams will use dressing rooms 1 and 2 located at North end of gym closest to main entrance. Dressing rooms 3 and 4 do not have bathroom facilities. Bathrooms are located in main lobby. Dressing rooms 1 and 2 do have bathroom facilities.
Cheerleading facilities • Cheerleading dressing facilities will be in our mobile classrooms located next to gymnasium. Game 1 and 3 cheerleaders will use trailers 4 and 5. Game 2 and 4 cheerleaders will use trailer 2 and 3. There are no bathroom facilities in any of the trailers.
Hospitality • Hospitality room will be located across from cafeteria for officials, coaches and school dignitaries. No players or managers will be allowed in room.
