  2. Overview • Students are matched to scholarships, colleges, internships, part-time jobs, and more. • With 1.3 million scholarships worth over $3 billion, FastWeb is a comprehensive source for scholarships. • Students get a customized experience and tools to stay organized. • It’s all FREE!

  3. FastWeb Homepage To start a new search, students click here.

  4. Register for FastWeb • Students can search for scholarships, colleges, or both. • FastWeb adapts to students as they complete their search.

  5. Student Information Students are asked various questions based on award provider and college criteria (including GPA, student activities, parent information, etc.) Students are then given custom results based on their answers.

  6. FastWeb’sScholarship Search

  7. Scholarship Search Results FastWeb provides students with a custom list of scholarships, colleges, local jobs and internships, all with one profile. After completing the questions, students can find their results by clicking on any of these tabs.

  8. Results Features The message box highlights new and important opportunities. Headlines show timely articles based on the student’s year in school and the time of year. Profile Summary reminds students to check and update their information.

  9. Manage Your Results Students can sort their results by any column heading to help them manage their results.

  10. Select “Favorites” To help student manage their results, they can mark opportunities as “favorites” and “discards.” Favorites are indicated by the heart icon and are added to a list in the “Favorites” tab. Discarded awards are removed from the main list and moved to the “Discards” tab.

  11. Select Favorites One way to mark “Favorites” and “Discards” is to click the check box in the status column and then click the appropriate button. Step 2 Step 1

  12. Scholarship Detail When a student clicks a scholarship description, scholarship details appear. This includes the award description, Web site and more.

  13. Select “Favorites” Students can also mark “Favorites” and “Discards” on the scholarship description page.

  14. Add a Note Students can set a personal note for themselves.

  15. Add a Note When adding a note, students can schedule it to be emailed to their personal account on a set day.

  17. Sort Your Results • Students can sort their results by any column heading to help them manage their results.

  18. View Distance • The “Distance” heading indicates how many miles the school is from the home address.

  19. Scholarships Available • The “Scholarship” column is a personal scholarship search for every college in the college results.

  20. College Detail When a students clicks a college from their results, they see a detailed description of the college, including scholarships they matched at that school.

  21. Compare Colleges Students can compare colleges and their own profile side by side. (This can also help determine why certain colleges did not appear in their college search results.)

  23. Part-time Jobs & Internships • Internship and part-time job results are automatically matched to students when they complete any search. • Part-time jobs matches are based proximity to student’s home address. • Internships are based on student’s major and interest.

  24. My FastWeb The “My FastWeb” tab allows students to manage all of their opportunities in one place.

  28. Customized To-Do Lists Students also have a custom to-do list based on their year in school and current time of year.

  29. “My Favorites” They can view all of their favorite scholarships, colleges, jobs and internships in the “My Favorites” tab.

  30. FastWeb Resources FastWeb has hundreds of articles about nearly everything having to do with preparing for college and being in college.

  31. Email Articles This is an article. From here students can mark it as a favorite, email an article or set a note.

  32. Newsletters & Notifications In addition to the online results, students also receive email updates of new awards, email deadline reminders and custom newsletters.
