  3. Why Saints Assemble • Saints are betrothed to Christ. They put Christ first. • 2 Cor. 11:2; Matt. 10:37-39; Heb. 10:23 • 1 Cor. 11:23-25 > “do this in remembrance of Me.” • N.T. Christians were “together” with “one accord”; they had a work to do together. • Eph. 1:22,23; Eph. 3:21; Acts 2:42,46; 4:32 • Acts 11:29; 1 Cor. 16:1-3; 2 Cor. 8:4

Why Saints Assemble • Christians love the Word. • Psalm 1:2; 1 Peter 2:2; Matt. 5:6; 2 Tim. 3:16-17 • Saints are concerned for their own spiritual welfare and the welfare of their brethren. • James 4:7; Matt. 4:4; Mark 14:38;James 1:5; Eph. 6:10-13; Gal. 6:1; Heb. 10:24; Heb. 2:1-3; 3:12,13; 5:11
