  2. Introduction • Persian Gulf War began on August 2,1990 • It was a conflict between Iraq and 32 other nation including USA, Britain, Egypt, France, and Saudi Arabia,

  3. Cause of why it happen • Saddam accused Kuwait for drilling on there land so he called for an invasion. • UN security Council called for Iraq to withdraw and stop most trades there • Saddam Hussein refused so we went to war . • It was called Operation Desert Strom

  4. The Invasion • Us invaded shortly after midnight August 2. • US deployed 400,000 troops in Iraq and the other 32 nations sent 200,000 troops. • One of those nations was turkey who let us build air base on their land

  5. The Consequences • Saddam Hussein had second war that was worse then the first one • After the war thousand of American soldiers were infected by a unknown sickness that made them have abdominal

  6. How the war impacted US • It lowered oil • Military and civilians died during the war • Thousand of US troops got Gulf War syndrome (GWS)
