As of April 2014, there are 49,495 fellowships awarded through the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Monthly recognition panels evaluate all descriptors, ensuring rigorous external review by HEA accreditors from the sector. Key accomplishments include the first college-based Principal Fellow and over 150 Principal Fellowships awarded. Additionally, 14 new CPD schemes were accredited this year, with a total of 66 schemes now certified. Ongoing development opportunities include workshops, consultancy for institutions, and writing retreats to support professional recognition. The initiative continues to foster exemplary teaching practices across the UK.
