Where have we been? • Strong academically • Record of 13 - 7 past 2 years • - qualified for districts last 2 years • - qualified for leagues last 2 years • - lost in first round of both playoffs both years • There was an off season training program for spring and summer • D. There has been a summer camp run by T3 training at a cost of $300 per player

  5. MC Men’s Soccer • II. Where do we want to go? • Player meeting on February 2/27/13 • with HS core players (18 total) • Goals were established by players • Qualify For States! • Win States! • Win Districts! • Be Undefeated in the Section! • Win the Section! • Win every home game!

MC Men’s Soccer • What is working? • - summer picnic • - pig roast fund raiser • - Baron Goal Club • - spring weight training • - added free weight program with emphasis on explosiveness • - added plyometrics • - added exercises designed to strengthen areas of the body typically associated with a soccer injury

  11. MC Men’s Soccer • What is missing? • Missing an elementary/youth community soccer club connection • Missing video and film study to include scouting opponents • Missing the inclusion of the middle school teams as part of the MC Barons Soccer Program

  12. MC Men’s Soccer • What is missing? • Missing training opportunities through Friendly games as part of a summer league • Missing winter indoor training at a field house • Missing spring training opportunities (MARCH)

  13. MC Men’s Soccer • What needs improved? • Be a better advocate for our junior and senior players to play at the collegiate level • Summer Camp by the T3 organization at $300 for one week per player is too expensive for families • There must be a better way to do the camp piece…

  16. MC Soccer Action PLAN • June • Workouts according to calendar • Physicals at PT Associates on June 6th after 4 pm ($15) • Elementary Team Camp • Camp is for players entering grades 3-8 • Counselors for the Camp are HS players entering grades 9-12

MC Soccer Action PLAN • June continued • Team Camp with Hempfield HS • June 24th to 27th from 6 to 8:30 pm • Camp is for players entering grades 7-12 • College coaches will be running the camp • HS coaches from both schools will be working together • Team Friendly at Township • June 18th • Friendly is for players entering grades 9-12

MC Soccer Action PLAN • August • Team Camp #2 with Hempfield • August 5th to 8th from 6 to 8:30 pm • Camp is for players entering 7-12 • All coaches from both programs instructing together • Team Friendly with Hempfield at all age groups as part of camp • Booster Family Picnic • Sunday Aug 11th • Picnic is for entire program families and players
