  1. FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH of WAYNESBURG Welcome! We are so glad to have you worship with us today! We thought the easiest way to share some information with you is with the letters in FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH: First things First: We want to offer you a: F-Friendly I-Invitation to R-Reach out and S-Serve and Share T-Together! Next, let us tell you a little about His Church: C-Christ. Jesus is our focus—He is the head of His Church. H-Home. We want to be your Church Home! R-Restoration Movement. We are a part of a growing movement to restore the Church we read about in the Bible. I-Independent. This Church is locally governed; there is no hierarchy telling us what to do or not to do. S-Salvation Plan. Refer to the “What the Bible Teaches” for more information and Scripture for the Plan of Salvation. T-Table. The Table in the front is for Communion which we partake of every Sunday following the example of the early Christians in Scripture (Luke 22:19-20, Acts 20:7, 1 Cor. 11:23-29) I-Immersion. Scripture teaches Baptism by Immersion for the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38). A-Authority. The Bible is our sole authority (2 Tim. 3:16-17). N-New Testament. Our only Rule in faith and practice. Finally, what is our definition of Church? The CHURCH is a C-Community H-Healthy and growing, U-United in Christ, developing R-Real Relationships and C-Caring for the H-Hurting with Help and Healing. We want you to be a part of our family! (See all Conversions in Acts:2:52-42;8:5-13;26-40:9:1-18;10:1-48;16:13-15;25-34;18:1-8;19:1-5;22:6-16) We share this with you because of Acts 4:20 in the Message: “As for us, there's no question—we can't keep quiet about what we've seen and heard.” The above statements are not innovative and will be found in any of over 6,000 evangelical churches nationwide called, “Independent Christian Churches and Churches of Christ,” claiming over 1.5 million members in the United States alone. Independent Christian Churches are among the fastest growing churches in the US. Contact Information: First Christian Church of Waynesburg Church Address: P.O.
