0.5GHz Band C: FWA Sharing & Regulatory Approach Work Programme

1. 5GHz Band C; Issues and Developing a Work Programme • At least two main issues; a) Sharing of FWA with other radio services b) Regulatory approach for licence-exempt FWA operation • Propose two reports (two sub groups) to be developed; one on sharing and the other on the regulatory approach • WAG to next meet in full in February ‘03 • Sub groups to physically meet on same day (one in morning and other in afternoon) – in Nov, Dec and January – to developed draft reports. • Interim draft versions of the reports to be circulated to WAG Jan ‘03 – final draft reports for approval by WAG in Feb ‘03 • Sharing report to be submitted to UK Govrt and proposed to be used as the basis for UK contributions into European CEPT Band C sharing studies • Regulatory approach report to be submitted to UK Govrt advising on licence-exempt FWA operation in Band C
