Resolutions LAND MATTERS • Land audit of all lands under traditional councils by Land Affairs • Department of Local Government and Traditional Affairs to make available all land proclamations under traditional leaders available to traditional councils • Department of RD and LR to deal with issues of CPAs as a matter of urgency working with the affected traditional leaders. Presentation to LGTAS Steering Committee

Resolutions COOPERATION WITH MUNICIPALITIES AND SUPPORT TO TRADITIONAL LEADERS. • Set up a Committee (technical and political) to look at the benefits of traditional leaders serving under councils and implementation of the MOU. The Technical committee to be lead by the Legal Units of SALGA NW and DLG&TA • Convene a Meeting between all mayors and traditional leaders during the month MAY to discuss the disparities with regard to benefits of Traditional leaders serving in councils • The department to work out a plan for disribution of resources such as building of offices and vehicles. Resolutions INITIATION SCHOOLS • To support the development of the National Framework to regulate initiation schools across the Republic • Develop a legislation to regulate the initiation schools in the Province by the end of October • Induction of Traditional Leaders and councils • Legislation affecting rural communities to be available Presentation to LGTAS Steering Committee
