  4. Sequence of Events 9-22-03 • 1110 hr: School Security advises police dispatch of a student with a gun. Shots fired in room 305. • 1113 hr: First SPD units arrive on scene. • 1114 hr: Fire alarm activated by school staff. Fire Dept. (SFD) dispatched. • 1117 hr: School evacuation begins, student evacuation area is 3rd Ave.

Sequence of Events 9-22-03 cont. • 1117 hr: Primary radio frequency restricted; officers enter school. • 1119 hr: Removing of citizens from school perimeter. • 1121 hr: Officers request SFD to turn off fire alarm. • 1131 hr: WSP requested to shut down I-90. • 1132 hr: WSP acknowledge request. • 1133 hr: DOT advised of request to shut down I-90.

Field House. • 1211 hr: School janitor requested to shut off building lights. • 1211 hr: Second request for SFD exhaust fans.

Sequence of Events 9-22-03 cont. • 1215 hr: Gas is shut off (we thought). • 1217: Specific directions given for SFD fan delivery. • 1218 hr: SFD exhaust fans are delivered and on. • 1220 hr: Suspect requesting matches or lighter from negotiators. • 1222 hr: Avista advises they are approaching school from the south. • 1234 hr: Disorderly suspect arrested on school perimeter. Transport car requested. • 1234 hr: 15-school buses confirmed on 3rd Ave.
