  1. NUHS Residency Career Fair17 July 2010 The sun finally loomed at around 8am on 17 July 2010, after a heavy downpour since the wee hours of the morning. The bad weather did not pose as a barrier for about 400 undergraduates from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Overseas Undergraduates, who attended the NUHS Residency Career Fair 2010 with gusto! Proudly held in conjunction with the NUS Medical Society, the Career Fair took place at the brand new NUHS Tower Block. A total of 16 residency programs had booths manned by the Program Director and current residents who played host to the students. Many of the Clinical Heads and Senior Faculty staff came in full force to support too and spent time talking to the students. The Chairman Medical Board, A/Prof Aymeric Lim, warmly welcomed the audience, following which our DIO A/Prof Shirley Ooi addressed the students. Depending on their interest/career preferences, the students also attended talks presented by each of the residency programs. Inquiries were incessant at many of the program booths and there was much good interactions among the faculty and students present! The career fair also featured a tour of the new Tower Block, where the students had an opportunity to see some of our new training facilities and work stations for residents. Many left impressed! With the scores of positive feedback, the NUHS Residency Career Fair was indeed a successful event! For those who missed it, feel free to contact our Program Directors should you need any information. Cheers to all and see you at our NUHS Open House in January 2011!
