  3. Introduction couple: jenn & stephen - both are actors with a love of all things vintage, a flair for the dramatic and a great sense of humor. They wanted a wedding at home but because of space constraints had to move to a larger venue. they asked that the wedding feel more like a house party. we chose to have food stations and dancing all night as opposed to a standard sit-down dinner. wedding date: may 26th, 2013 guest count: 120 Wedding venue: huron substation colors: dusty blue, dusty rose, brick, peach, apricot, leather, brass, silver, gold Style: romantic, whimsical & vintage-inspired with a cozy, homey feel theme: urban bohemian & art deco materials: metal, lace, vintage furniture, wood, industrial lighting, chalkboards, plates, books, family photos possible flowers: garden roses, eucalyptus, astilbe, dahlias, wildflowers, anemones, ranunculus

Venue Options #1 huron substation neighborhood: glassell park capacity: 125 seated cost: $4500, $300 sec. deposit included: use of bridal suite, house sound with ipod hook-up, 3 tables for buffet, 3 cocktail tables, venue for 12 hours, venue manager can bring in own alcohol and caterer required: valet service, insurance ceremony rehearsal not-included facts: Listed as Historic Cultural Monument #404 by the LA Cultural Heritage Commission as the Los Angeles Railway Huron Substation, the building was built in 1906.

  10. guestbook: plates on a fabric or wallpaper covered board for guests to sign that can be displayed in your house. Escort cards: macrame installation with tags hanging from strings.

  11. Atmosphere bridal bouquet: garden roses, astilbe, dahlias, ranunculus, Blushing brides wedding party: simple bouquets & Bouts of astilbe

  12. Birch chuppah with lace canopy. Simple greenery and jasmine cascading from top and sides. Rug underneath. first rows made up of vintage chairs. Remaining rows made up of benches.

  13. Cocktail tables: lace overlays over solid linen bar backdrop lace hoops in various sizes Vintage decanters and bottles inside glass bar.

  14. Reception: long, wooden tables with handmade runners. tons of candles in silver & white mercury glass votives, clusters of brass & silver vases filled with peach, apricot and ivory blossoms & greenery. Mismatched chairs.

Appetite food stations: food displayed on wooden crates. gourmet Comfort food: sliders, mac n’ cheese some of the groom’s favorites. - see menu on page 15 simple cake with metallic boarder and flowers made by friend of the bride. Signature drink: stoli doli - the couple’s favorite cocktail and dog’s namesake

Amusement Pre-ceremony, ceremony and cocktail hour music: folk jazz with new orleans flair by dustbowl revival Prelude: instrumental folk & Jazz processional: la vie en rose Bon Iver’s Stacks for bride recessional: bon iver’s lump sum dinner and dancing: motown/soul band the source. inspired by the groom’s bar mitzvah band! first dance: the spinner’s: i’ll be around horah last song: we are family
