This project aims to improve the freezer management system at UW-Provision, a meat warehouse and distribution center in Middleton, WI. Our team, led by Josh Miller, identified key challenges including disorganization, difficulty in locating products, and limited space. We explored various alternatives and best practices from industry leaders. Our recommendations include reorganizing the freezer layout by product type, color-coding storage racks, and enhancing safety and efficiency. The expected benefits include reduced costs, shorter training time, and the potential for similar implementations in other areas of the company.
