  2. PREPOSITION Preposition is a word that is used to link nouns, pronouns, and phrases to other words in a sentence. The word or phrase that the preposition introduces is called the object of preposition.

The rainy season begins in October. 5. I’ll see you in the afternoon. 6. The president will come in two hours. 7. The graduation is on 3 December 2006. 8. The students came to the campus on 29 August, 2006. 9. Lily was born in 1990in Aprilon Sundayat 07.00.

  8. A. Place – Between and Among • Between and among have the same meaning, but between is used with two nouns and among is used with three nouns or a plural noun.

  14. Notes: Adverb or preposition? * An adverb is an answer of the question, where?, when?,How? Or to what extent? • Both common and compound prep. need more than just themselves to answer the same questions. • In the sentence “The captain walkedabroad” abroad is an adverb because it does not start a prep. phrase. • In the sentence “The captain walkedabroadtheship” abroad is a prep. that begins the prep. phrase.
