    3. NYS Banking Department 15 Divisions with an Internal Control Coordinator for each Internal Control program revived in 2007-08. Risk assessment conducted by program areas. Introduced Manager Testing (using DoB model) in 2008-09 cycle (testing protocols for high risk areas identified). First testing in current cycle.

    4. NYS Banking Department Manager Testing Division proposes testing protocols, which are reviewed and approved in Internal Control Certification process. Actual testing occurs during following year. High Risk Areas Test every year. Moderate Risk Areas Test every two years. Low Risk Areas Test every three years. For each testing area: After two positive testing cycles, testing may be extended by one year. No division will be required to test 100% of its functions in one year. Tests included as ongoing procedure will be exempt from testing requirements.
