  1. 2014 Staff Communications Survey Second annual A Google form e-mailed to staff twice in October Reviewed by the EGTC Communications Committee, ELT Key findings and suggested actions to be shared with staff via Emily’s Wire The EGTC Mission: To provide knowledge, skills, and values that enable students to compete successfully in the workforce and to be self-sufficient citizens and lifelong learners.

Who Responded? 45 full-time staff and faculty 6 part-time 47 from the EG Campus 2 from the Video Studios 2 from the College of T&I The EGTC Mission: To provide knowledge, skills, and values that enable students to compete successfully in the workforce and to be self-sufficient citizens and lifelong learners.

Opportunities for Improvement The EGTC Mission: To provide knowledge, skills, and values that enable students to compete sucessfully in the workforce and to be self-sufficient citizens and lifelong learners. 2014 % (2013) response 69% (50) are very or simply satisfied with college communications, 31% (50) are neutral or dissatisfied 37% (48) feel leadership is open to thoughts and ideas and 55% (35) said sometimes 6% (2) find college-wide e-mails not at all helpful and 24% find Emily’s Wire somewhat informative 18% (31) are neutral or find department meetings ineffective in communicating to staff Chats with Jeff – attendance is very low School calendarS

More inter-department meetings, information sharing Staff want more opportunities to provide feedback specifically regarding changes and want explanations Staff updates – comings and goings Access to policies and procedures

Jan. 8 - 189 unique openers Jan. 15 - 154 Jan. 22 - 230 Jan. 29 - 152 (as of noon on 1/30) • Further expansions of the staff intranet • More staff involved in more committees • Student Leadership Club • Sounding board with interest in tour support, events • Orientations with procedures and policies are being established and will be easily accessible • Reinforcement of Strategic Plan and possiblereview of values • Suggestions?
