An Introduction to IliasAtwani • IliasAtwaniis a well-known mining engineering professional who is best known for his experience working with some of the industry leaders in Canada. • At present, he is associated with a leading firm in the gold mining business. • Before he started working here, he had been working in the Mining Engineering Department of a British-Swiss multinational commodity trading and mining company for the last 6 years. • He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mineral & Mining Engineering from the Laval University after attending preparatory classes for the engineering school.

Responsibilities Ilias used to Handle His position at a multinational, British-Swiss commodity trading company required IliasAtwanito manage: • Establishment of weekly schedules & planning • 3D design & Survey data processing (Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, 3DReshaper) • Volumetric reconciliation & adjustment of excavated and blasted roc quantities • Issuance of drilling, loading and blasting plans • Monitoring the ore/waste quantities & monitoring plans issuance • Involvement & effective contribution in the Tailing storage management

  4. Ilias’ Exceptional Skill-Set IliasAtwaniis known to possess all the skills required to be an able mining engineer. For instance, he is good with: • Mining Oriented Operational Analysis/Modeling Software such as Surpac®, Whittle®, Talpac • Programming Languages including MATLAB®, C/C++, VB • Microsoft Office ® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio…) • CAD Software such as AutoCAD® (Amine & Promine), SolidWorks®, Silverscreen® (CAMP), and 3DReshaper® • Management and Logistics Software including SAP®, JD Edwards®

IliasAtwani’s Life Away from Mining • Ilias holds an additional bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from the Prince Mly Abdallah High School – Casablanca. • When not working, he likes to dedicate his time to photography. • He has won several photography competitions too including PwC’s Art of Mining.
